Obituary:
Dominic Kiedrowski, age 92, of Stevens Point, died May 8, 2011 at St Michaels Hospital.

Dominic was born July 6, 1918 to the late Felix and Verona (Laszewski) Kiedrowski in Polonia, WI. He grew up there and attended the local school.

As a youngster, Dominic worked at Meehan Station on a farm. He later worked for Taylor Landscaping before his military service. He was inducted into the US Army on October 21, 1942 and was honorably discharged on April 15, 1946. While in the service, Dominic received a European African Middle Eastern Theater Service Medal; a Good conduct Medal; and an American Theater Service Medal. After he was discharged, Dominic worked for Weber Fly & Tackle for a short time. Dominic then became employed with Vetter Manufacturing and worked there until retiring in 1983.

He married Regina Pionke on August 21, 1946.

Dominic will be remembered for his friendly smile and easygoing personality. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. Dominic also loved playing pool and bingo. He enjoyed attending church picnics.

Dominic is survived by his sisters, Evelyn Ciesielski of Stevens Point & Mary Keen of Nekoosa; many nieces and nephews; and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Theodore Kiedrowski; sisters, Genevieve Sarver & Regina Campbell; one infant sister, & 2 sisters that died at birth.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Boston Funeral Home, Stevens Point with Dave Fletcher officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home; and will conclude with a 7:00 p.m. rosary. Visitation will also be held on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow the service in Des Pines Cemetery.

His family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Harmony Assisted Living and at St Michaels Hospital for the care given; and Rev. Dennis Lynch for his compassion.
